RKOVE E3 Rotating and Retractable Pergola: A Variable-Space Outdoor Living System

RKOVE E3 is the high-end variable-space model in the E Series. It rotates the light, retracts the roof and helps a premium outdoor room shift between shade, ventilation, rain protection and open sky.

What is RKOVE E3?

RKOVE E3 is a motorized rotating and retractable smart pergola. It combines up to 130° motorized louver rotation with motorized roof retraction, allowing one outdoor living system to support shade, ventilation, rain protection and open-sky transformation.

Why E3 exists

Some customers do not want to choose between a rotating-louver pergola and a retractable roof pergola. They want both control and openness. RKOVE E3 was created for projects where the roof should adjust light and airflow like a louver system, then retract to make the sky part of the experience.

E3 A and E3 B opening logic

RKOVE E3 has two top-opening directions. E3 A uses one-way retraction, where the louvers collect toward one side. It fits projects with a clear view direction, light direction or layout direction. E3 B uses two-way retraction, where the louvers collect toward both sides for a more symmetrical, transparent and ceremonial open-sky effect.

Best-fit projects for E3

E3 is a strong direction for luxury villas, premium poolside dining areas, landscape terraces, boutique hotels, resort suites, open-air restaurants and high-end commercial outdoor spaces. It is especially useful when the customer wants the pergola to change the state of the space rather than only provide shade.

E3 vs C Series

C Series controls light through motorized rotating louvers. E3 also rotates the louvers, but adds motorized roof retraction. Choose C Series for classic everyday louver control. Choose E3 when the project needs both controlled comfort and a more dramatic open-sky roof transformation.

E3 vs E1 and E2

E1 and E2 focus on retractable roof openness. E3 adds rotating-louver behavior before the roof retracts. Choose E1 or E2 when full roof retraction is the main goal. Choose E3 when the customer wants shade angle control, ventilation control and retractable openness in one higher-end system.

E3 vs S Series

S Series is RKOVE's flagship direction for larger, more architectural or hospitality-level projects. E3 is the variable-space direction for customers who value roof behavior and open-sky transformation. Some premium projects may review both E3 and S Series depending on size, wind exposure, accessories and design goals.

Early planning notes for E3

For first-pass planning, RKOVE E3 uses a 2.7 m default quotation height. The louver blade length should stay within 4 m whenever possible. If blade length exceeds 4 m or the longest side exceeds 6 m, RKOVE should review the installation method, support layout and post logic before quotation.

Accessories that pair with E3

E3 can be reviewed with integrated LED lighting, ZIP Screens, smart control, sensors, ceiling fans, heaters, sliding glass doors and aluminum louver walls. C/E Series ZIP Screen default fabric direction is 5% plain-weave polyester plus PVC, with final details confirmed by project configuration.

How to explain E3 in one sentence

RKOVE E3 changes the space: it rotates for shade and ventilation, closes for protection, and retracts to open the sky.
