Yes. With mosquito screen fabric, ZIP Screens can help reduce insects while maintaining ventilation and visibility. RKOVE can review MS35 mosquito screen options with 20%, 30% or 40% openness.
Are ZIP Screens waterproof?
They are side screens, not solid walls. They can help with shade, privacy, insects and wind comfort, but they should not be described as a fully waterproof wall system.
Can ZIP Screens be used in windy areas?
They can improve wind comfort, but final performance depends on screen size, fabric, side tracks, installation and site exposure. Windy or rooftop projects should be reviewed by RKOVE before production.
Can ZIP Screens be added later?
Sometimes, but it is better to plan them with the pergola. Wiring, post layout, side tracks, cassette space and enclosure conflicts are easier to solve before production.
Can I use ZIP Screen on one side and glass doors on another side?
Yes. Different sides can use different enclosure strategies. The same side should normally choose one clear option: ZIP Screen, sliding glass door or aluminum louver wall.
Do ZIP Screens need separate motors?
Yes. ZIP Screens are motorized side systems with their own motor planning, power routing and control logic.
